Late last year, I was following a documentary called, ‘The Vietnam War’. It looked at the war from the perspective of Americans, South Vietnamese and North Vietnamese who fought in the war as well as the usual historians etc who have studied the war and its aftermath.

Set The Benchmark
I recently read an article regarding the toxic cultures created in businesses such as Macquarie Bank, Uber and Fox News. These toxic cultures have been protecting employees demonstrating bad behaviour relating to a number of issues including drug taking, sexist and chauvinistic behaviour. These businesses chose not to take any action against these employees who, in most cases, were apparently high performers.
Never Stop Learning
Knowledge. Education. Experience. These three things go hand in hand. You could say they are one and the same. Possibly. What I know is that knowledge, education and experience opens our eyes and opens our world. If we let them.
Rewarding Performance
Recently, I wrote about Bernard Tomic and his loss of love for tennis. The article explored Tomic’s only playing tennis to support the lifestyle he wants to lead. This then lead to the comparison with employees who are also only turning up to work to support their lower order security needs in their life. Hence meaning employees not working to their potential or at their best.
